I’m a digital marketing communications specialist focused in the areas of content strategy and UX writing. My professional goal is to help create wonderful experiences for users and to support the development of organizations to meet their communications goals and effectively engage their target audience. I believe having a variety of skills is key and I’ve gained valuable knowledge from my various experiences in content writing, integrated marketing campaign strategies, social media management, event planning and user experience design projects. I’ve also been a social media management and copywriting freelancer for over five years. 

In my current full-time role I:

• Manage the development and updates to the company-wide intranet web pages, often working with developers on Drupal capabilities and new features/functionality to enhance the user experience
• Manage content strategy on intranet including communication timelines, editing, and visuals; creating and disseminating weekly newsletters and all-staff emails
• Research, write, edit and deliver timely news and information on a daily basis to internal audiences using various communication channels
• Provide communications support for the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging program and its encompassing councils
• Support communications campaigns and rollout for various RTI-wide and organization-specific changes, initiatives and programs
• Maintain department editorial calendar and coordinate internal promotions across communications campaigns
• Liase with events team to support RTI internal events, both virtual and in-person
• Support the administration of RTI’s community impact programs
• Coordinate with corporate photographer and brand managers on visual assets for communications
